Hot Springs Creek

Our final destination of the day was Hot Springs Geothermal Site.  These hot springs are located in Hot Springs Creek.  The springs are found inside a caldera which is a volcano that sunk while it was erupting.  Magma is located about one mile deep into the earth.  This magma heats up the water and emits steam through cracks and crevices making the area potentially dangerous and unstable.
