Cascade Falls is located in downtown Osceola, WI on the
Osceola Creek, a small tributary to the St. Croix River. The
25 foot tall waterfall is the result of a knick point, an abrupt
change in the slope of the bedrock. The knick point creates
a process called undercutting where the force of the water
erodes away the base of the falls, which will eventually become
unstable and collapse.
