On Monday, October 24, 2005 our Geography 401 class spent the fourth day of our Hawaii field study at Waipio Valley, Hawaii. Waipio Valley is located on the northeastern flank of Kohala Volcano and is a deeply incised U-Shaped valley with massive dimensions. Waipio's cliff walls rise almost 2,000 feet from the valley floor and it is as wide as it is deep.
