Introduction

The Southwestern part of the United States has been experiencing a drought for the last six years. Some speculate it to be the worst on in 500 years (NOAA). The lakes created by dams are seeing all time lows in water depth. With the depletion of this water source, cities and towns are trying to find a new way to get water in an area otherwise classified as uninhabitable. The seven states affected by the drought are California, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, Wyoming, Colorado, and New Mexico.

What is a drought?

A drought is classified as a deficiency in water, where there is not enough water to support the environment. Water levels are below normal persipitation for an extended period of time or drying of rivers, bores and lakes) REDEFINE THIS?
