As shown on the map, this area receives very little precipitation and needs to get its water from an outside source. However, this outside source depletes to even lower levels. At current rates, Lake Mead is lowering 18 feet a year in total lake level. With this body of water drying at alarming rates, another source of water may be needed for the region to survive. |
