DABS Incorporated

About two decades ago, three physical geographers decided to come together out of a love for the sea and the shore. They continued researching, observing, and experimenting individually, but decided to work together to combine their expertise.

What we do:

DABS Incorporated is an erosion control company. Through a coordination of resources, coastal solutions are offered for environmentally friendly shore stabilization and property protection for ocean coastlines and inland bodies of water. Together, Daniel Rogney, Brandon Miller, Andrew Thompson, and Sara Randle fabricated a company to meet the demands of disappearing coastlines. They professionally tackle one coastline at a time, gaining experience from each location. They serve in an advisory capacity for local coastal engineers and contractors.

Daniel Rogney is senior coastal analyst for DABS Inc. During the course of his countless worldwide studies on coastal erosion and effective defenses, Daniel eventually realized where his passions lie: the Netherlands. On a typical day, Daniel can be seen meandering the Netherlands’ coastline and deltas or studying the erosional defense techniques of the Dutch. Through his passionate research, the aim always remains the same: finding the most effective way to forever rid the world of coastal erosion.

Andrew is senior geographer for DABS Inc. Over the years, Andrew has closely studied the coastal processes of the world. His travels have taken him across the globe in search of the latest information. He joined with his collegues to form DABS Inc. Since then, the team at DABS has consulted on numerous municipal projects. When not in the office, Andrew can be found in the tallest tree...observing coastlines.

Brandon Miller is senior site specialist at DABS Inc. Brandon’s main concern is to analyze the world’s coastlines most severely affected by the treachery of erosion. Wherever erosion is most dangerous and in need of the most help, Brandon is there! Blessed with the heart of a geographer and a passion for travel, Brandon has fit in perfectly with the DABS Inc. team and their dedication to stopping coastal erosion. Now after studying the afflicted nation of Bangladesh, Brandon’s next destination is Florida, which flirts with a growing threat of sea level rise and erosion. It is also the home to Brandon’s favorite football team, the Miami Dolphins.

Sara has always had a passion for the seashore. She has traveled to numerous locations around the world as an assistant researcher for geographers. Her sites include the coasts of California, Bangladesh, North Carolina, the Netherlands, Florida, and Fiji. She assisted Daniel Rogney, Andrew Thompson, and Brandon Miller individually before DABS Inc. was founded. During the creation of DABS Inc., the three geographers decided they needed someone on their team who would be flexible to travel with them when necessary, as well as handle the logistics in the office. Sara was the perfect fit! In her spare time she enjoys frolicing in nature, bird watching, and identifying trees by scent.
