On November 7, 2005 Professor Harry Jol’s Geomorphology 360 class took an interesting trip to the longest cave in Wisconsin: Crystal Cave in Spring Valley. Crystal Cave had been closed for the season, but we were allowed inside to gain some insight on the cave. We would like to share with you the history, the biological life forms that exist and have existed in the cave, some of the different formations that are found throughout the different levels of the cave, and some other exciting points of interest that we observed while we were there.
