Hwa Rang Do®/Tae Soo Do®

Dimensions of Training


The study of Hwa Rang Do®/Tae Soo Do® is a comprehensive study, and encompasses four major paths. These areas of study are what make Hwa Rang Do® so diverse and unique.
  1. Wae Kong - External Power - over 4,000 offensive and defensive combative applications:   hand strikes, blocks, kicks, throws, falls, joint manipulation, pressure points, sparring, grappling, breaking techniques, defense techniques, all with full control to minimize danger to the student
  2. Nae Kong - Internal Power - developing, controlling, and directing one's inner energy force, Ki, through meditation and breathing exercises combined with physical techniques
  3. Shin Kong - Mental Power - the study and development of human mind in order to achieve one's full potential
  4. Moo Gi Kong - Weapon Power - the offensive and defensive use of 108 individual weapons, divided into 20 categories
