Benefits of Training


The students who train in Hwa Rang Do® at UWEC filled out a survey which asked what the benefits of training were to them. Here are their answers, ranging from social to physical to psychological benefits...

  • meeting a great diversity of people and the spiritual/physical benefits
  • learning respect, focus, self-discipline, and self defense as well as kicking/punching and weapons
  • exercise, body control
  • escape from academia! and meet people in your interest group
  • discipline, balance, flexibility, cardiovascular work
  • feel good about myself, healthier; we are brothers and sisters
  • exercise, stress relief, flexibility, balance, confidence, friends, "brain break" something to learn unrelated to schoolwork, just plain cool!
  • Tae Soo Do® is a family of some amazing people on campus
  • increased confidence, physical health, stronger motivation, will power, meeting people
