  • Attend sessions presented by the Peer Diversity Educators
  • Apply to become a Peer Diversity Educator and participate in their training
  • Propose new ideas of completing tasks
  • Accept and consider other ideas different from your own
  • Display civility at all times
  • Develop a community agreement with the help of your RA – decide how you will handle disruptive behavior in your community
  • Participate in the roommate agreement process and live by the guidelines you establish
  • Find a resolution to interpersonal disputes through mediation
  • Apply to live in the Global Learning Community
  • Attend Global Learning Community programming
  • Learn how to best live with your roommate through compromise
  • Communicate your openness to other cultures
  • Participate in “safe space” training
  • Find ways to disagree with others in a way that places focus on the ideas, not the person
