- Attend sessions presented by the Peer Diversity Educators
- Apply to become a Peer Diversity Educator and participate in their training
- Propose new ideas of completing tasks
- Accept and consider other ideas different from your own
- Display civility at all times
- Develop a community agreement with the help of your RA – decide how you will handle disruptive behavior in your community
- Participate in the roommate agreement process and live by the guidelines you establish
- Find a resolution to interpersonal disputes through mediation
- Apply to live in the Global Learning Community
- Attend Global Learning Community programming
- Learn how to best live with your roommate through compromise
- Communicate your openness to other cultures
- Participate in “safe space” training
- Find ways to disagree with others in a way that places focus on the ideas, not the person
