- Challenge the process – ask why we do the things we do
- Suggest new ideas and new ways of doing things
- Participate in j-board review
- Gather information about involvement opportunities
- Attend RHA and get involved in planning a program or researching an issue
- Write a resolution for RHA to consider
- Write a proposal for something you’d like to see on campus
- Plan a new program and get others involved
- Work with RHA to write a bid to receive awards or host a state or regional conference
- Develop a plan for what you want to be involved in and what you want to gain from that experience
- Consider multiple options in decision making
- Instead of just identifying a problem, try to find a solution
- Start a conversation with someone you disagree with - Discover their perspective
- Participate thoughtfully in the satisfaction survey distributed by Housing and Residence Life
- Find a creative way to recognize someone who made a difference in your life
- Get involved in your hall’s RA selection committee
- Design an evaluation to discover the opinion of students in your hall about critical issues
- Find a way to provide programming in the hall that helps make participates better students
- Form a committee to recommend hall improvements
- Develop a hall theme or “identity” and create programs, services, etc. that connect to that theme.
