Get Involved!

An Overview

The purpose of Hall Council is to give students in the residence hall an avenue to get involved in their community. Hall Council provides an avenue for students to share ideas about how to improve the residence hall environment. Hall Council also provides social, educational, diversity and community service programs that benefit residents in and out of the residence hall.

Hall Council should provide the following:

  • A sense of belonging for residents in the hall
  • A safe place where ideas and suggestions can be offered
  • A safe place where problems and concerns can be addressed
  • An opportunity for residents to give feedback and help develop goals
  • A voice in establishing the rules of the group
  • A clear understanding of what is expected of members
  • Role models for those in the membership and in the hall
  • A resource for information pertaining to the organization

All students in the residence hall are welcome and encouraged to attend all meetings and events!
