Bowling and Billiards Night Meeting Minutes

All the bowling lanes were full when we arrived, so we played pool and air hokey. The only announcement at the meeting was for Bowl for Kids Sake. I received the information for the Special Olympics Track and Field & Swim meet after the meeting. I included the information in the minutes so you can plan ahead. Finally, a couple of people have talked to me about moving the meetings from Wednesday to Tuesday or Thursday. Please let me know via email at precherd@uwec.edu if you would be able to make the meetings on Tuesday or Thursday at 9pm, or if Wednesdays work better.

Bowl for Kids Sake:
Bowl for Kids Sake is May 2-6 at Wagner's. The theme this year is Sports Super “Bowl”. The 10:30pm shift on Friday, May 6 was set aside for university student teams. However, Friday night did not work well for many of the HPO members, so we are signed up for Wednesday, May 4 at 6:30pm instead. To join the team, email me at precherd@uwec.edu. Since we are a student group, each team member will have a fundraising goal of $25, not $75 as indicated at the last meeting.

In addition to participating in the event, HPO members usually decorate for Bowl for Kids Sake. Decorating will take place on Monday, May 2. HPO will have a signup for decorating closer to the event.

Special Olympics:
The Indianhead Area Special Olympics Track and Field & Swim Meet is Saturday, May 7. The volunteer signup sheet will be in the Honors Program Office next to the Breakfast with a Professor signup binder. There will be an orientation session on Monday, May 2, in the Ojibwa Room of the Davies Center at noon and 7pm. Shift times are: 9am to 1pm, 1pm to 6pm, or 9am to 6pm.
