Special Olympics Bowling

As a reminder to those who signed up, Special Olympics Bowling is Saturday, October 8.

Crop Walk

The annual Eau Claire Crop Walk will be held in Carson Park on Sunday, October 9. The event is sponsored by Church World Service, and the proceeds help provide hunger relief and development assistance in more than 80 countries including the United States, with 25% of the proceeds going to Feed My People food bank in Eau Claire. To make this event a success, volunteers are needed. If you are able to volunteer, please email me (my username is precherd). Volunteers are needed for the following tasks:

Next Meeting

Our next meeting will be BBC night. Since the bowling league uses all of the lanes on Wednesday night, we have to pick a different night to meet. Therefore, the next meeting is Tuesday, October 11 at 8:30pm in the Bowling and Billiards Center. HPO will cover the cost of bowling, pool, foosball, and air hockey for all members who have paid their dues. (If you have not paid dues yet, they are $5 a semester and you can pay at the meeting.) Please email me (precherd) if you plan on coming so I know the approximate number of people to expect.

Fun Suggestions

If you have any other suggestions for activities, please bring them to our next meeting.

T-Shirts

HPO is considering making T-Shirts this year. If you have a design in mind, please bring it to the next meeting. We commonly refer to ourselves as the Hippopotamus Protection Organization, so you might want to include a Hippo in your design (but you don't have to).

Take care,
