From "The Miracle Worker" to "Tartuffe" to "Picnic," the Earl S. Kjer Theatre, located at the corner of Garfield and Park avenues, is the venue for a variety of university theater productions. The building was constructed in 1952 as part of the Brewer Hall, Kjer Theatre and Zorn Arena complex. It was named for Earl S. Kjer, chair of the speech department and director of theater from 1953-65.
