Brewer Hall is home to the offices of UW-Eau Claire's College of Education and
Human Sciences. It connects with Zorn Arena, the university's largest event space.
Most teacher education classes meet in Brewer Hall classrooms.
Zorn Arena is the home court for both the Blugold men's and women's basketball
teams.
Many of UW-Eau Claire's Forum series speakers, like Andrea Mitchell, make
their presentations in Zorn Arena.
UW-Eau Claire's commencement ceremonies are held in Zorn Arena three times
a year — in May, August and December.
Kjer Theatre, adjacent to Brewer Hall, is one of four performance facilities
of the department of music and theatre arts.
The 400-seat Kjer Theatre is used by the music and theatre arts department for
mainstage plays and dance productions.
Theatre arts students use instructional facilities in the Kjer Theatre complex
in addition to facilities in the Haas Fine Arts Center.
The Zorn Arena/Brewer/Kjer complex includes four adjoining facilities: Zorn Arena, C.J. Brewer Hall, the Earl S. Kjer Theatre and the Campus School building (which houses the university's Children's Center).
With a seating capacity of 3,500, Zorn Arena is the campus venue for a variety of events that attract large numbers of people. Men's and women's intercollegiate athletics events take place in Zorn Arena, as do graduation ceremonies. Many of the university's resident and visiting artists and lecturers make their presentations in Zorn Arena. The facility is named for Willis "Bill" L. Zorn, UW-Eau Claire's former dean of men, director of athletics and head basketball coach.
