The licence governing the use of the Norton Antivirus software at UW Eau Claire has a provision for allowing active university employees and students to install Norton Antivirus on one home computer. You can obtain the software by checking out an install CD from the LTS Help Desk, Old Library room 1106. We encourage you to take advantage of this service, there is no direct fee involved to you or your department. If users of the UW Eau Claire network actively use and update their antivirus software regularly it will greatly reduce the impact viruses have when they do try to invade our network.
