All About Passwords

Default passwords:

uwec?####               ( Example: uwec?1234 )
Lowercase uwec then a ? question mark and then replace the #### with your pin number and NO SPACES.

Changing your password

Changing your password affects your email password and university logon password.

Valid passwords will have to meet these minimum requirements:

• Be at least eight(8) characters in length
• Contain characters from three(3) of the following four(4) categories:
  • English uppercase characters (A through Z)
  • English lowercase characters (a through z)
  • Base 10 digits (0 through 9)
  • Non-alphabetic characters (for example, !, $, #, %)
• Password cannot contain significant portions of the user's account name or full name

**Please Note: All users will be required to change their password at least once per year.

Or if you are on campus, go to a windows machine and sign in then use the Ctrl + Alt + Delete and go to change password.

Resetting your password to default

Resetting your university logon password changes your password to lowercase uwec and a ? question mark and then your UWEC PIN with no spaces.
( Example: uwec?1234 )

Please remember to change your password as soon as you can from this default format.

 

Changing your PIN

You can change your PIN through the BLUGOLD system.

NOTE: Changing your PIN does NOT change your university logon password.

If you have forgotten your PIN:
Students - Contact the Registrar's office.
Staff/Faculty - Contact the Human Resources department.

 

Changing your username
