Word forms are an easy way to gather information because they allow you to input information electronically into an existing template, then save it as a file, send it as an attachment, or print it out as a hard copy. This document gives basic advice about accessing, completing, saving, and printing forms that have already been created.
To complete a Word form, do the following:
From the File menu, select Open...
The Open dialog box appears.
From the From pull-down list, navigate to and select the desired form
Click OPEN
The form appears in Word.
Complete the form using either the keyboard or the mouse to navigate within the document
| To move to the next field | Press [Tab] |
| To move to the previous field | Press [Shift] + [Tab] OR Press [Arrow] |
Save the form and/or print
NOTES:

You can save the results if you want an electronic file for your records, or to forward the results as an attachment.
From the File menu, select Save As...
The Save As dialog box appears.
In the Save As text box, type a filename
HINTS:
To help you locate the file in the future, use a descriptive filename.
Word will automatically add a .doc extension.
From the Where pull-down list, select a location for the file
HINT: Your personal home directory is generally your username$.
EXAMPLE: DOEJANE$
Click SAVE
Depending on the nature of the document, you might want to keep a hard copy for your own records.
From the File menu, select Print...
The Print dialog box appears.
Confirm the print options
Click PRINT
