It is a common practice to save a PowerPoint presentation in a package in order to open it on another computer and have it contain all files linked to the presentation. PowerPoint's package feature automatically includes your linked files and the PowerPoint Viewer to ensure your presentation will operate on virtually any computer.
By creating a package of your PowerPoint presentation, you will be able to have all the image, sound, and video files linked to your presentation in one place. This will ensure that your presentation will run smoothly.
Open the PowerPoint presentation you wish to save
From the File menu, select Save As...
The Save As dialog box appears.
In the Save As text box, type a name for the folder that will contain all the components of your presentation
NOTE: This will not change the name of your presentation, only the name for the package.
From the Where pull-down list, select the desired location
From the Format pull-down list, select PowerPoint Package
Click SAVE
Open PowerPoint
From the File menu, select Open...
Navigate to and select your packaged presentation
NOTE: Your packaged presentation will be inside of the folder you previously named. Selecting the folder will show your presentation (.ppt) inside.
Click OPEN
Your presentation is ready to be run.
