The POP3 server is an incoming mail server used on UW-Eau Claire. The POP3 server is different from the Exchange server because it does not sync with your Webmail account. Rather, each time you log in, the POP3 server downloads all your account information to your hard drive and erases it from the POP3 server.
You can download your campus email from the UW-Eau Claire POP3 server when off campus using Outlook 2007. This document contains instructions on setting up Outlook 2007 to access a POP3 email server.
