You have several options available when sending messages using Outlook. The options discussed here are applicable to individual messages as you prepare to send them. You can alert your recipient to a high priority message, send a blind carbon copy of a message to someone, receive notification that your message has been delivered and/or read, control the delivery date and/or set an expiration date for a message, and redirect replies from a message to another email address.
When sending a high priority message, you may want to "flag" the message so the recipient has a visual cue of its importance. With Outlook, you can indicate High or Low importance.

When composing a message, it is sometimes appropriate to send a blind carbon copy (Bcc). For example, if you have a very large list of recipients, you can use blind carbon copy so that recipients will not have to scroll through a long header of recipients in order to get to the message. Recipients listed in the To or Cc fields will be unaware that recipients listed in the Bcc field are also receiving the message.

NOTE: For more information, refer to Basic Email Activities: Sending Email Messages.
If the Bcc field is not displayed, from the View menu, select Bcc Field
The Bcc field will now be displayed as part of the message header.
In the Bcc field, type the email address of the person(s) to receive the blind carbon copy

The nature of a message or the recipient may deem it appropriate for you to know the message has been delivered and/or read. With Outlook, you can request a delivery or read receipt.
The delivery receipt works with multiple email systems and is automatically generated when the message has been delivered to the recipient's mailbox.
The read receipt is generated when the message is opened.
NOTES:
The recipient has the option whether to send the read receipt. If they choose not to, the sender will not receive a receipt.
This option is not supported for messages sent to non-Outlook users.
