The Calendar environment is a specific mode within the larger Outlook environment. The following document provides a general overview of the Outlook Calendar and discusses the different Calendar views.
Calendar is Outlook's feature that allows you to record your daily, weekly, and monthly appointments. It also allows you to record events and to set reminder notices for appointments (items shorter than 24 hours) and events (items longer than 24 hours). The following graphic represents just one of many calendar views: Day/Week/Month.

Calendar views can be adjusted so you can view a day, week, or month (with or without mini-months and a task list). Personal preference and current needs will determine which view is best for you. You can change views through the View menu or the toolbar.
