After creating WordArt, you can change its color and style to make it even more appealing. This document includes instructions on the following topics that apply to Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint:
When a WordArt text box is selected, the Format command tab should be showing. In the WordArt Styles group, commands for editing your WordArt will appear.
NOTES:
The options available in the WordArt Styles group may differ between Office programs.
Not all buttons may be located within the WordArt Styles group in each program.
The following table identifies buttons found in the WordArt Styles group.

| Shape Outline | Changes the color or pattern of the outline of your WordArt. |
Fill color and line color may be adjusted in WordArt. Fill color is the color of the inside of the letters, and line color is the color of the letter outlining.
Select the WordArt
From the Format command tab, in the WordArt Styles group, click SHAPE FILL
» select the desired color
OPTIONAL: To fill your WordArt with a texture, gradient, or picture, in the WordArt Styles group, click TEXT FILL » select the appropriate fill type » select the desired option
This option is available only if the WordArt in use contains outlines.
Select the WordArt
From the Format command tab, in the WordArt Styles group, click SHAPE OUTLINE
» select the desired outline color
NOTE: If the Format command tab is not visible, from the Ribbon, select the Format command tab.
OPTIONAL: To add a patterned outline or change the line style of the outline, in the WordArt Styles group, click TEXT FILL » select the appropriate option » select the desired line style
You can easily change the spelling or words of the WordArt you have created.
Select the WordArt
The text becomes editable.
Make any desired changes to your WordArt
If the font or size of the WordArt letters do not suit you, use the WordArt toolbar editing option.
Select the WordArt text
From the Home command tab, in the Font group, from the Font pull-down list » select the desired font
In the Font group, click the INCREASE FONT SIZE
and DECREASE FONT SIZE
buttons, as appropriate
WordArt allows you to mold its text into a particular shape.
Select the WordArt
From the Format command tab, in the WordArt Styles group, click SHAPE EFFECTS » select an effect » select the desired option

The WordArt shape adjusts.
To slant or rotate your WordArt image, you can use the free-rotating option, or use the dialog box to specify an exact rotation value.

Click and hold your mouse on the rotation handle of your WordArt
Drag your pointer in the direction and degree you want your WordArt to rotate
HINT: Holding [Shift] while dragging rotates the object in 15 degree increments.
Release the mouse button
The rotation is applied to your WordArt.
NOTE: The name and appearance of the dialog boxes that appear may differ between programs in Office 2007, but the same options are available.
Select the WordArt image
From the Format command tab, in the Arrange group, click ROTATE » Select More Rotation Options...
The Size and Properties dialog box appears, with the Size tab displayed.

To change the rotation of your WordArt, in the Size and rotate section, use the Rotation nudge button to select the desired angle
OR
In the Rotation text box, type the desired angle
Click CLOSE
The rotation is applied to the WordArt.
Depending on the font and the WordArt shape you have selected, a shadow effect can enhance your WordArt image.
Select the WordArt
NOTE: Be sure that you highlight the text of the WordArt, not just the surrounding box.
From the Format command tab, in the WordArt Styles group, click TEXT EFFECTS » select Shadow » select the desired shadow

A three-dimensional effect can give depth to your WordArt image.
