When printing your InDesign document, you can specify the number of copies to print, change the size of your print output, and customize additional printing options.
Before printing, it is best to save your document. For information on saving your document, refer to Saving a File Using Save As...
From the File menu, select Print...
OR
Press [Ctrl]+[P]
The Print dialog box appears.
From the Printer pull-down list, select the desired printer
Make any necessary changes to General, Pages, and Options sections

Click PRINT
The Print dialog box contains many options for customizing the printing of your document. These options include setting a default printer, specifying the number of copies, specifying certain pages to print, and changing the document's orientation.
Check to see that the printer name matches the printer you want to send your printout to. If necessary, change your default printer.
WARNING: This changes the default printer for all programs. To select a new printer without changing your default, refer to Printing a Standard Document.
From the Start menu, select Printers and Faxes
The Printers and Faxes dialog box appears.

Right click the printer you want to become the default » select Set as Default Printer
A checkmark
appears next to the new default printer.
From the File menu, select Close
To print more than one copy of the document, from the General section, in the Copies text box, type the number of copies you want
To print every page of a document, in the Pages section, for Pages, select All
In the Range text box, type the page number of the first page to print, followed by a hyphen and the last page to be printed.
Example: To print pages 1 through 14 of a document, type: 1-14
In the Range text box, type the page numbers you wish to print and separate them with commas
Example: To print pages 1, 5, and 7-9, type: 1,5,7-9
To print non-printing objects, blank pages, and/or visible guides and grids, make the appropriate selections in the Options section.
Page orientation can be set using the Setup options in the Print dialog box.
In the Print dialog box, select Setup

In the Setup section, from Orientation, select the desired page orientation
When you want to print a document that is a different size than the standard letter size, you must first specify the size of the document and then configure the print size before you print your document. You must complete both of these procedures in order for your document to print correctly.
Use these steps to configure your document size. If you have already configured your document size, refer to Printing a Non-letter Size Document: Print Setup.
From the File menu, select Document Setup...
The Document Setup dialog box appears.

From the Page Size pull-down list, select the desired paper size
OR
In the Width and Height text boxes, click the nudge buttons for the desired dimensions of your document
If appropriate, in the Orientation section, select the desired page orientation
Click OK
From the File menu, select Print...
The Print dialog box appears.
From the menu, select Setup
In the Setup section, from the Paper Size pull-down list, select the desired paper size
NOTES:
The size of the document must match the size paper you select here.
There are a number of selections for each paper size, so make sure you choose the same size for both the document setup and the print setup before attempting to print your document.
From Orientation, select the desired orientation of the paper
Click PRINT
