This document contains general information regarding the Microsoft Entourage 2008 environment. Taking a moment to review the following sections will enable you to move through the Entourage application with greater ease.
The toolbars in Entourage change depending on what option in the Navigation pane you are using. Thus, feature-specific buttons will appear on the toolbar depending upon what you are doing.
HINT: If you are unsure at any time about what a specific button on a toolbar does, you can hold your pointer over that button and a description will appear.
From the View menu, select Show Toolbar
The Navigation toolbar is the set of icons to the left of the toolbar that stays static and allows you to choose which view you would like to be in (e.g., Mail). The following are the available views:

| Address Book | |
| Calendar | |
| Notes | |
| Tasks | |
| Project Center |
The Folder List will also change depending on which option you are viewing (e.g., Calendar). The Folder List provides a more detailed listing of all your Entourage folders and subfolders, allowing you to navigate through them more effectively. If you have many folders in Entourage, it may be easier to locate and open them using the Folder List. An example of a Mail Folder list is shown below.
To hide the Folder List, from the View menu, select Hide Folder List
To show the Folder List, from the View menu, select Show Folder List
By default, a mini-calendar will appear in the bottom left corner of Entourage no matter what view you are in (i.e., Mail, Address Book, Calendar, Notes, etc.). With this mini-calendar ever present, you will always have a calendar as a reference while using Entourage. An example of a mini-calendar is shown below.
