Address Book Views

Entourage allows you to change what information you see in your Address Book list. You can add and remove fields in the Address Book list or sort your list by selecting different fields. Once you have selected the fields you will use, you can view the given information for a contact using the Preview Pane.

Once you have selected an individual in your Address Book, the Preview Pane will display that individual's contact information.

  1. From the toolbar, click ADDRESS BOOKAddress Book button

  2. Under Contacts, select a desired contact
    The Preview Pane refreshes to display the contact information for the individual selected.

A field is a category (e.g., Name, Company, Work Number, or E-mail address) by which you can store and sort the contact information for individuals in your Address Book. By adding and removing fields, you control the viewing options for information in your Address Book list.

  1. From the toolbar, click ADDRESS BOOKAddress Book button

  2. From the View menu, select Columns » the desired field
    NOTE: The fields are selected and displayed when a checkmark appears before the name.

You can easily find contacts in your Address Book by using the fields to sort your list.

  1. From the toolbar, click ADDRESS BOOKAddress Book button

  2. Under Contacts, click the field you would like to sort by
    HINT: Once the field is selected, clicking on it again reverses the order in which they are displayed.
