Managing Categories 
The digest audience, which determines who is sent a link to your newsletter each week, is divided into categories. Selecting a category ensures that the correct group of people will receive a link to your newsletter each week. The Newsletter system allows you to work with established categories or create your own category to determine who is sent a link to your newsletter. Established categories include:
Everybody
sent to UW-Eau Claire faculty/staff and students
FacultyStaff
sent to UW-Eau Claire faculty/staff
FacultyStaffStudents
sent to UW-Eau Claire faculty/staff and students
Students
sent only to UW-Eau Claire students

Creating a Category

Log in to the Administrative Home page

On the navigation bar, click CATEGORIES
The Newsletter Categories page opens. -
Beneath the navigation bar, click ADD NEW CATEGORY
The Create a New Category page opens.

In the Name text box, type the name of the category

In the Description text box, type the description of the category.

Click ADD
The Newsletter Categories page opens.
Editing Category Information
You can change the names and descriptions of the categories used for audience selection.

Log in to the Administrative Home page

On the navigation bar, click CATEGORIES
The Newsletter Categories page opens. -
For the category you want to edit, click EDIT CATEGORY
The Edit Category page opens.

In the Name text box, make the desired changes

In the Description text box, make the desired changes

Click CHANGE
The Newsletter Categories page opens.
Deleting a Category
If the category has newsletters, you must delete them or transfer them to another category before the category can be deleted.

Log in to the Administrative Home page

On the navigation bar, click CATEGORIES
The Newsletter Categories page opens.
NOTE: The list is sorted by category name. -
For the category you want to delete, click DELETE CATEGORY
A confirmation dialog box appears. -
To delete the category, click OK
