Newsletter/Announcement Manager

Working with Administratorsfor Administrators

Administrators may create or delete administrators within the Newsletter system, or may alter the information of an administrator that is used in the system. You must be an administrator to perform any of the tasks described in this document. However, depending on your level of access, some options still may not be visible to you. For more information about types of administrators and their access to the Newsletter system, please refer to The Newsletter System: An Introduction.

return to topCreating a Newsletter Administrator

If a new newsletter is created, or an old administrator is replaced, you may need to create a new newsletter administrator.

  1. Log in to the Administrative Home page

  2. On the navigation bar, click NEWSLETTER ADMINS
    The Newsletter Administrators page opens.

  3. Click ADD NEW ADMINISTRATOR
    The Create a New Administrator page opens.

  4. In the Login Name text box, type the username of the administrator you would like to add

  5. OPTIONAL: If you are the Master Administrator and are adding a Super Administrator, select Super Admin

  6. Click ADD
    The Select Admin's Newsletter Access page opens.
    NOTE: If you are the Master Administrator, the Newsletter Administrators page opens.

  7. For the appropriate newsletter(s), set the desired permissions
    HINTS:
    Email allows the administrator to create, view, and send issues of the newsletter.
    Modify allows the administrator to edit properties of the newsletter or delete the newsletter.
    If neither option is selected, the administrator has no access to the newsletter.

  8. Click APPLY
    The Newsletter Administrators page opens.

If you have the correct level of access, you can modify the username or permissions of an administrator.

  1. Log in to the Administrative Home page

  2. On the navigation bar, click NEWSLETTER ADMINS
    The Newsletter Administrators page opens.
    NOTE: The list is sorted by administrator username.

  3. For the administrator that you want to modify, in the Modify column, click MODIFY ADMINISTRATOR
    The Modify Administrators page opens.

  4. To change the administrator’s username, in the Username text box, make the desired changes

  5. To change permissions for a newsletter, select or deselect the appropriate option
    HINTS:
    Email allows the administrator to create, view, and send issues of the newsletter.
    Modify allows the administrator to edit properties of the newsletter or delete the newsletter.
    If neither option is selected, the administrator has no access to the newsletter.

  6. OPTIONAL: If you are a Master Administrator granting Super Administrator access, select Super Admin

  7. When done, click MODIFY
    The Modify Administrators page opens, reflecting the changes.

  1. Log in to the Administrative Home page

  2. On the navigation bar, click NEWSLETTER ADMINS
    The Newsletter Administrators page opens.
    NOTE: The list is sorted by administrator username.

  3. For the administrator you want to delete, click MODIFY ADMINISTRATOR
    The Modify Administrators page opens.

  4. At the bottom of the page, click DELETE
    The Newsletter Administrators page opens, reflecting the changes.
