Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro allows you to magnify parts of a page in a PDF file by zooming in and out or by adjusting the magnification level on the Zoom toolbar. This document shows you how to adjust the magnification of your PDF file and rotate the view.
There are four ways you can change the size that your page appears on the screen.
If your mouse has a scroll wheel on it, the quickest method of zooming in or out is by using the keyboard and mouse together.
To zoom in on the page, press [Ctrl] while rolling the mouse wheel forward
To zoom out on the page, press [Ctrl] while rolling the mouse wheel backward
From the View menu, select Toolbars » Select & Zoom
The Select & Zoom toolbar appears.

On the Select & Zoom toolbar, click the MARQUEE ZOOM tool![]()
Your cursor changes into the Marquee Zoom tool.
Continue to click until you reach the desired level of magnification
NOTES:
Click on the object or area that you would like magnified to center it in the view.
To zoom out, press [Ctrl] while clicking.
From the Tools menu, select Select & Zoom » Dynamic Zoom
Your cursor changes into the Dynamic Zoom tool.
When you have reached the desired level of magnification, release the mouse button
When you have reached the desired level of magnification, release the mouse button
To zoom in on the page, on the Select & Zoom toolbar, click INCREASE THE MAGNIFICATION
OR
Press [Ctrl] + [+]
To zoom out of the page, on the Select & Zoom toolbar, click DECREASE THE MAGNIFICATION![]()
OR
Press [Ctrl] + [-]
On the Select & Zoom toolbar, in the Zoom Value text box
, type a desired number
Press [Enter]
HINT: You can also select a preset percentage from the Zoom Value pull-down list by clicking on the arrow
.
If the direction of the page is not what you want, you can rotate it to fit your needs.
To rotate the page clockwise, from the View menu, select Rotate View » Clockwise

Press [Shift] + [Ctrl] + [+]
To rotate the page counterclockwise, from the View menu, select Rotate View » Counterclockwise
OR
Press [Shift] + [Ctrl] + [-]
