When you type a URL in a Word document, by default, it automatically converts to a hyperlink. If you do not want the URL to appear blue and underlined, there are four available options for removing the hyperlink formatting from the URL.
One way to remove the formatting from a hyperlink reference is through the AutoCorrect dialog box. This option is useful for preventing every URL you type throughout the document from displaying the hyperlink formatting. If you want to remove formatting from an existing hyperlink, refer to the Quick Menu Option.
Windows: From the Tools menu, select AutoCorrect Options...
Macintosh: From the Tools menu, select AutoCorrect...
The AutoCorrect dialog box appears.
Select the AutoFormat As You Type tab
Windows: In the Replace as you type section, deselect Internet and network paths with hyperlinks
Macintosh: In the Replace as you type section, deselect Internet paths with hyperlinks
