Clearing the Print Queue

The Print Queue (Print dialog box) stores upcoming print jobs as they are sent to the printer. You can access the Print Queue and cancel documents before they print or as they are printing.

Clearing the Print Queue: Selected Job(s)

NOTE: Depending on the length of your document and how many are waiting to print, the Printer icon in the system tray may appear briefly or for a sustained period.

In the system tray (located next to the clock) double click the PRINTER icon
The Print dialog box appears.
OR
1. From the Start menu, click PRINTERS AND FAXES
  The Printers and Faxes dialog box appears.
2. Double click the appropriate printer
  The Print dialog box appears.
From the list of print jobs, right click the desired job » select Cancel
The Printers dialog box appears asking if you want to cancel.
Click YES

Clearing the Print Queue: All Jobs

NOTE: Depending on the length of your document and how many are waiting to print, the Printer icon in the system tray may appear briefly or for a sustained period.

In the system tray (located next to the clock) double click the PRINTER icon
The Print dialog box appears.
OR
1. From the Start menu, click PRINTERS AND FAXES
  The Printers and Faxes dialog box appears.
2. Double click the appropriate printer
  The Print dialog box appears.
From the Printer menu, select CANCEL ALL DOCUMENTS
The Printers dialog box appears asking if you want to cancel.
Click YES
