Removing Red Eye

This document explains how to remove red eye from your photos using Photoshop.

1. From the Toolbox, select the Zoom tool
   The arrow becomes a magnifying glass with a plus sign in the center.

2. Position the mouse over the area containing the red eye, and click until you can easily see the red eye(s)

3. Right click the SPOT HEALING BRUSH TOOL » select the Red Eye Tool
   The mouse changes into a crosshair.
   NOTES:
   The Red Eye Options bar allows you to alter the Pupil Size percent value and the Darken Amount percent value. The Pupil Size percentage affects how much of the red eye in the pupil is removed.
   The default value for both of these options is 50%.
   RECOMMENDATION: Do not alter the Red Eye options.
   

4. On the image, click and drag the mouse to select the red-eye of the pupil

5. Release the mouse
   The red eye is adjusted.

8. If necessary, repeat steps 4 and 5 until all the red eye is removed

9. To save your changes press [Ctrl] + [S]
   OR
   From the File menu, select Save
   The image is saved.
