In Photoshop, blend modes affect colors differently. This document provides additional examples of the blend modes. To learn how the blend modes affect an image, refer to Blend Modes: An Introduction.
NOTES:
The examples in this document show a butterfly layer on top of a background layer.
Both layers are set to 100% opacity in all of the examples, except in the Dissolve blend mode example, where the butterfly opacity is set to 75% to better display the effects of that blend mode.
