You can customize how you view the contents of a Mail folder by adding, rearranging, or removing column headings. Different column headings provide different information about a message and can be used to sort messages. For information about sorting messages, refer to Sorting Your Email Messages.
NOTES:
You can customize how you want column headings to appear for each Mail folder.
The following image is an example of how the column headings may appear:

Add column headings to make searching for a message easier.
Click MAIL![]()
From the Mail folder list, select the Mail folder for which you want to add column headings
Right click any column heading » select Customize Current View...
The Customize View dialog box appears.

Click FIELDS...
The Show Fields dialog box appears.

From the Select available fields from pull-down list, select the type of Field you want to add

related Fields appear in the Available fields list.
From the Available fields list, select the Fields you want added as column headings
HINT: To select multiple Fields, hold [Ctrl] while selecting.
Click ADD ->
The Fields are added.
HINT: To rearrange the order of Fields, refer to Rearranging Column Headings.
Click OK
The Show Fields dialog box closes.
Click OK
The Customize View: Messages dialog box closes.
Rearranging column headings is as simple as clicking and dragging. Be sure to arrange column headings in a way that is easy to understand.
Click MAIL![]()
From the Mail folders list, select the Mail folder for which you want to rearrange column headings
Click and drag the column heading you want to rearrange to the desired location
Release the mouse button
The column heading is rearranged.
Be sure that you do not crowd your message window with unnecessary column headings. To remove column headings, follow these easy steps:
Click MAIL![]()
From the Mail folders list, select the Mail folder for which you want to remove column headings
Right click the column heading you want to remove » select Remove This Column
The column heading is removed.
