Outlook Webmail's Check Names feature allows you to check the email address(es) of your recipient(s) before sending an email. This enables you to quickly and easily correct any errors in the email address(es) and remove any addresses that no longer exist.
From the Navigation pane, click MAIL![]()
From the toolbar, click NEW MESSAGE![]()
The New Message screen appears.
In the To... text box, type the email address of the recipient
From the toolbar, click CHECK NAMES![]()
If an erroneous address is present, an error message will appear in the pane at the left, informing you that no match was found or displaying a list of possible matches
To remove the address(es) from your recipient list, click REMOVE
OR
If a list of possible matches is displayed, select the correct address from the list
NOTE: A separate error message will appear for each erroneous address present
Repeat steps 2–4 until your recipient list is error free
