Netscape gives a variety of options when printing websites. This document discussed the following:
Sometime you may want to see how a page will look when it is printed. With the Print Preview option, you are able to see how the page will look when it is printed out.
Open Netscape to the web page you would like to print
From the File menu, select Print Preview
A new window appears showing the page as it will look when it is printed.
To navigate between pages, click PREVIOUS
or NEXT![]()
To print the page, click PRINT...
The Print dialog box appears.
OR
To close the window, click CLOSE
Printing only the current page you are viewing is very useful when printing from a web page that will print on multiple pages. If the information that you need to print is only on one page, it is unnecessary and time consuming to print all pages of a long page.
Open Netscape to the web page you would like to print from
Select the text you would like to print
From the File menu, select Print..
The Print dialog box appears.
In the Print range section, select Selection
In the Printer section, from the Name pull-down list, select the appropriate printer
In the Copies section, in the Number of copies text box, type the appropriate number of copies
Click OK
The selected text will print.
The Margins section of the Page Setup dialog box sets the width of the page margins in inches. The default setup is 0.5" for each margin (top, bottom, left, and right).
HINT: You can use the [Tab] key to move to another margin box.
From the File menu, select Page Setup...
The Page Setup dialog box appears.
Select the Margins & Header/Footer tab
In the Margins section, in the Left, Top, Right, and Bottom text boxes, type the desired margin value.
NOTE: The dotted line on the preview paper will change to show the new margins.
Click OK
Some web sites use frames, which divide the page into multiple scrollable regions.
Open Netscape to the web page you would like to print from
Click within the frame you wish to print
From the File menu, select Print ...
The Print dialog box appears.
In the Print Frames section, select the appropriate option
In the Printer section, from the Name pull-down list, select the appropriate printer
In the Copies section, in the Number of copies text box, type the appropriate number of copies
Click OK
Printing in landscape orientation is useful when the website is wider than a sheet of paper, which is typically also the width of a maximized browser window. If there is important information that you need to scroll to the side to see, printing in landscape orientation is recommended.
Open Netscape to the website that you would like to print
From the File menu, select Page Setup...
The Page Setup dialog box appears.
Select the Format & Options tab
In the Format section, select Landscape
Click OK
