return to topImporting a Bookmark List

A colleague or site on the Web may have a helpful bookmark list to share with you. If you transfer a bookmark file from your colleague or a website, you can add it to your own bookmark file. You can import a bookmark file, and it will be appended to your existing bookmark file without changing your current information. By trading bookmark files with others, you can rapidly build a very large collection of sites without having to track down all of the relevant information yourself.

NOTE: This will not get rid of duplicate sites, so you may have to delete repeated bookmarks.

  1. From the Bookmarks menu, select Manage Bookmarks...
The Bookmarks for default dialog box appears.

  2. From the Tools menu, select Import ...
The Import bookmark file dialog box appears.
