AutoComplete saves information typed into text boxes, such as passwords, search engine queries, and web addresses. After information has been saved, when you type in a text box, a pull-down list of saved choices will appear. From the list, you may automatically complete the information you would have typed.
WARNING: The list of AutoComplete matches is stored and encrypted on your computer to protect your privacy. Even though these protections are in place, AutoComplete may become a security risk.
You can easily activate or deactivate AutoComplete options with the AutoComplete Settings dialog box.
On the Command toolbar, click TOOLS
» select Internet Options
The Internet Options dialog box appears.
Select the Content tab
From the AutoComplete section, click SETTINGS
The AutoComplete Settings dialog box appears.

Web addresses
When selected, all URLs typed in the Address text box will be saved
Forms
When selected, information typed in specific text boxes will be saved
User names and passwords on forms
When selected, usernames and passwords typed in specific text boxes will be saved
Prompt me to save passwords
When selected, Internet Explorer will ask you if it may save a password instead of automatically saving the password
Click OK
The AutoComplete Settings dialog box closes.
Click OK
The Internet Options dialog box closes.
Periodically clearing your AutoComplete history will reduce security risks at the expense of some convenience.
On the Command toolbar, click TOOLS
» select Delete Browsing History...
The Delete Browsing History dialog box appears.

To clear a certain type of data, click the related DELETE button
To clear all types of data, click DELETE ALL...
A window appears to confirm the deletion.
To confirm, click YES
To cancel, click NO
To clear more data, repeat steps 2–3
To close the Delete Browser History dialog box, click CLOSE
