HyperSnap allows you to capture an image from any part of a screen. Capturing images is useful when you need to provide visual aids for written instructions. Below are some basic guidelines on how to use HyperSnap.
When using HyperSnap to capture a region of a screen, cross hairs will appear which allow you to isolate the portion of the screen you wish to capture. The cross hairs look like a plus sign, and the lines extend all the way off the screen. Any portion of any screen can be captured with HyperSnap.
From the Start menu, select Programs » Utilities » Hypersnap
The HyperSnap window appears.
In the appropriate program, open the dialog box or image you want to capture
Press [Ctrl] + [Shift] + [R]
Position the cross hairs where you want to start your selection
Click to start selecting
HINT: Do not hold the mouse button down while dragging.
Drag to select the dialog box or image
Selection lines will appear just inside the dialog box or image you are capturing.
Click to finish your selection
The selected image appears in the HyperSnap window.
If you would like to capture an entire window, you may use the capture window option in HyperSnap. Because you will not need to select it by hand, you are guaranteed to capture the entire window and are less likely to have to crop the image.
