Web pages can be enhanced many ways including applying color text (i.e., either a single word, phrase, heading, or paragraph). The following instructions cover applying one of the basic colors to text and applying a custom color to text.
Highlight the text to be formatted
From the Formatting toolbar, select the FONT COLOR icon![]()
A pull-down list of available font colors appears.
Select the desired color
The Font dialog box is used to adjust color in addition to other text formatting options such as font style, weight (e.g., bold), relative size, apply underlining, strikethrough, or typewriter.
Highlight the text to be formatted
From the Format menu, select Font...
From the Color pull-down listing, select the desired color
Click OK
You may want to emphasize a word to draw attention to a hint, a note, or a warning and this is easily done through the Custom Colors palette. FrontPage allows you to create your own colors and save them with your document. Try not to use more than 3 or 4 different colors in your text; it becomes difficult to read if you do.
To make custom colors for your text:
From the Format menu, select Font...
The Font dialog box appears.
From the Color pull-down listing, select Custom Colors...
The Color palette appears.
Create your Custom Color by the methods described in Defining Custom Background Colors
Click ADD TO CUSTOM COLORS
NOTE: If you are going to create more than one color, you must click on an open square before you develop the color. If you do not choose an open square first, your next custom color will be laid over the previous one.
Click OK
