An image map is an image containing one or more clickable sections (i.e., hotspots), which are assigned hyperlinks. FrontPage gives you a variety of ways to manipulate hotspots.
NOTE: This document assumes you have already created an image map with one or more hotspots. To create hotspots, refer to Creating Hotspots. For additional information regarding the toolbar buttons, refer to Overview of Clip Art: Common Toolbar Buttons.
Selecting hotspots is the first step in editing them.
Click the image containing the hotspot you want to select
The hotspot(s) becomes visible.
To select a hotspot, click it once
Sizing handles appear on the sides and corners of the hotspot.
HINTS:
To select more than one hotspot, while pressing [Shift], click the hotspots.
To move between hotspots, press [Shift] + [Tab].
If hotspots are difficult to distinguish from their image, highlighting them is useful.

To view an outline of the hotspot, on the Pictures toolbar, click HIGHLIGHT HOTSPOTS![]()
