If you find that FrontPage's default frames styles do not meet the needs of your web page, you can create your own custom frames page. These instructions assume you have already created a frames page.
To resize a frame, you must be in Design or Split view. For more information about viewing options, refer to Frames Page Views.
Place the insertion point on the border of the frame you want to resize
The cursor becomes a double arrow.
Click and hold the mouse button
A thin line appears over the selected border.
Drag the thin line until the frame reaches the desired size
Release the mouse button
The frame is resized.
If the selected frame is part of a row, the Height text box becomes Row height. If the selected frame is part of a column, the Width text box becomes Column width. Changing the height or width of the selected frame will change the height or width of every frame in the row or column.
Select the frame you want to resize
From the Frames menu, select Frame Properties...

Right click the selected frame » select Frame Properties...
The Frame Properties dialog box appears.

Under Frame size, from the pull-down lists, select the desired increment:

| Relative | Width or height changes relative to other frames on the page. |
| Percent | Width or height changes to the selected percentage of its original size. |
| Pixels | Width or height changes to the number of pixels selected. |
Adjust the Width and/or Height as desired
Click OK
The frame is resized.
You can split a frame into two frames using the mouse or menu option. The mouse option allows more flexibility in how the frames are split, whereas the menu option splits frames in half. To split a frame, you must be in Design or Split view. For more information about viewing options, refer to Frames Page Views.
Place the insertion point on a border of the frame you want to split
The cursor becomes a double arrow.
Press [Ctrl] + click and hold down the mouse button
A thin line appears over the selected border.
NOTE: Keep holding the mouse button and the [Ctrl] key.
Using the mouse, move the thin line to where you want the frame to split
Release both the [Ctrl] key and the mouse button
The frame is split.
Repeat steps 2-5 as necessary
Select the frame you want to split
From the Frames menu, select Split Frame
The Split Frame dialog box appears.

Select Split into columns or Split into rows
Click OK
The frame is split.
You can adjust the margin height and width of each frame within your page. To set frame margins, you must be in Design or Split view. For more information about viewing options, refer to Frames Page Views.
Select the frame you want to alter
From the Frames menu, select Frame Properties...

Right click the selected frame » select Frame Properties...
The Frame Properties dialog box appears.
Under Margins, in the Width text box, type or use the nudge buttons to select the desired width
In the Height text box, type or use the nudge buttons to select the desired height
Click OK
You can adjust the spacing between every frame on your page. To modify the frame spacing, you must be in Design or Split view. For more information about viewing options, refer to Frames Page Views.
Select the frame you want to alter
From the Frames menu, select Frame Properties...

Right click the selected frame » select Frame Properties...
The Frame Properties dialog box appears.
Click FRAMES PAGE...
The Page Properties dialog box appears.
Select the Frames tab
In the Frame Spacing text box, type or use the nudge buttons to select the desired frame spacing
OPTIONAL: To show or disable borders, select/deselect Show Borders
Click OK
Click OK
You can delete frames if they are no longer necessary or useful to you. To delete a frame, you must be in Design or Split view. For more information about viewing options, refer to Frames Page Views.
Select the frame you want to delete
From the Frames menu, select Delete Frame
The frame is deleted.
NOTE: The remaining frames on the page will fill the space of the deleted frame.
