The Insert bar contains several categories that provide quick access to buttons for frequently used commands. This page provides an overview of the options available through the Insert bar and explains how to add objects to the Favorites toolbar. The buttons for each category are described on individual pages.
Common toolbar
Contains buttons for the most frequently used web publishing tasks

Layout toolbar
Contains buttons that insert and modify elements related to page layout

Contains buttons relating to dynamic data applications

Spry toolbar
Contains buttons that insert predefined Java Scripts

Contains buttons for text formatting

Favorites toolbar
This toolbar can be customized to contain buttons you use frequently from the other toolbars; however, it will remain blank until you choose to use it.

On the Insert bar, click FAVORITES
NOTE: If the toolbar is blank, it will contain the words, "Right-click to customize your favorite objects." If the toolbar has already been formatted, it will contain buttons.
Right click anywhere on the toolbar » select Customize Favorites...
The Customize Favorite Objects dialog box appears.

From the Available objects scroll list, select the button you would like to appear on the Favorites toolbar
Click ADD![]()
The object appears in the Favorite objects list.
OPTIONAL: To add more objects to the toolbar, repeat steps 4-6
Click REMOVE SELECTED OBJECT IN FAVORITE OBJECTS LIST![]()
Click OK
The objects you selected appear on your Favorites toolbar.
