Inserting the Date & Time Display

Dreamweaver allows you to display the date your web page was last updated. Dreamweaver also offers several format options for the date and time displays.

This date and time information can be updated automatically each time you save the page or each time an automatic update occurs. This saves time and keeps your page current.

1. From the Insert menu, select Date
   OR
   From the Insert bar, on the Common toolbar, click DATE
   The Insert Date dialog box appears.
   
   

2. From the Day format pull-down list, select the format that you prefer for the day display

3. From the Date format scroll list, select the format that you prefer for the date display
   HINT: To aid international users, a date format with the month represented by the word is recommended over the all-numerical version.

4. From the Time format pull-down list, select the format that you prefer for the time display

5. If you want the date automatically updated, select Update automatically on save
   The option is selected if a check mark appears in the box.

6. Click OK
