Creating Sections in the Question LIbrary

Sections provide a way to organize questions in the Question Library. To help organize your questions, you can create sections relating to each quiz or exam, or to the type of question. This document will help you with the process of creating sections.

  1. From the Course Home page, on the Navigation bar, click QUIZZES
    The Manage Quizzes pane appears.

  2. Click QUESTION LIBRARYQuestion Library button
    The Question Library pane appears.

  3. From the Create New pull-down menu, select Section

  4. Click GO
    The New Section pane appears.

  5. In the General section, in the Section Name text box, type a name for the section

  6. OPTIONAL: In the Message and Private Comments text box(es), type the desired text
    HINT: To use HTML to type your message, click within the text area or click EDITHTML Editor button

  7. To add an image,
    1. Click ADD A FILE
      The Submit a File dialog box appears.
    2. Click BROWSE...
      The Choose file dialog box appears.
    3. Using the Look in pull-down menu, locate and select the image
    4. Click OPEN
    5. Click UPLOAD

  8. To specify how your section will appear, in the Display Options section, select show section name, insert a line break after section name, and/or display message and image
    NOTE: An option is selected if a checkmark appears before it.

  9. To add feedback for the section,
    1. Click EXPAND SECTION FEEDBACK
    2. In the Section Feedback text box, type the text

  10. Click SAVE
    The new section is created and added to the Question Library pane.
