Rather than emailing each group member or selecting their names individually from the Address Book, you can view the Address Book in groups. Then, you can easily address an email to the group. For more information on using email, refer to Sending Email in Desire2Learn.
NOTE: A copy of your message does not, by default, appear in your Sent Items.
From the Course Home page, on the Navigation bar, click EMAIL
The Compose New Message pane appears.
Click ADDRESS BOOK
The Address Book dialog box appears.
From the Filter By pull-down menu, select the desired Group name
Address Book refreshes to show the selected group
To select all members of a group, select the check box in the top left
Click TO, CC, or BCC as appropriate
HINT: You may want to BCC yourself since a copy of the message does not appear in your Sent Items.
Click ADD RECIPIENTS
The Address Book dialog box closes.
Complete the text of the email
Click SEND
The email is sent to the selected group.
