Customizing the User Profile

Your User Profile allows other Desire2Learn users to learn more about you. They can view your profile through the Classlist tool.

Changing Your Profile Picture

You can upload a new profile picture by following these steps. The profile can be accessed either through the My Settings widget on the My Home and Course Home pages, or in the Classlist tool. You will see your profile image in the My Settings widget; other users will see it in the Classlist.

My Settings Option

From the My Home page, in the My Eau Claire Courses widget, select the desired course
The Course Home page appears.
In the My Settings widget, click PROFILE
The Edit My User Profile pane appears.
Click CHANGE PICTURE
The Select a Profile Picture dialog box appears.
Click BROWSE
The Choose File to Upload dialog box appears.
Navigate to the desired location
Select the document
Click OPEN
Click UPLOAD
The picture appears.
Click SAVE

Classlist Option

From the My Home page, in the My Eau Claire Courses widget, select the desired course
The Course Home page appears.
On the Navigation bar, click CLASSLIST
The Classlist pane appears.
Click your profile image
The Edit My User Profile pane appears.
Click CHANGE PICTURE
The Select a Profile Picture dialog box appears.
Click BROWSE
The Choose File to Upload dialog box appears.
Navigate to the desired location
Select the document
Click OPEN
Click UPLOAD
The picture appears.
Click SAVE

Profile Information

Along with a picture, you can put information about yourself in your user profile. Other D2L users can view this information when they click your profile image in the Classlist.

Access the Edit My User Profile pane, through either the My Settings widget or the Classlist
Click in any text box and type the desired information
When you are finished altering your profile, click SAVE
