Process Overview

Getting Started
- Activate your course
- Copy any components you want from a previous course
- Use the Course Builder to design your course
- Set up your grade book
Class Communication
- Suggest students customize their user profiles
- Use discussions and chats to talk about the course material
- Make announcements with the News tool
- Use the Schedule to keep track of due dates
- Give students feedback in the dropbox, grade book, or for a quiz
Course Maintenance
- Release content when needed
- Update grades
Assessment
- Create quizzes for quick assessments
- Collect assignments with the dropbox
- Consider putting your students into groups for projects or discussion
- Try to use assessments that discourage academic dishonesty
Wrapping Up
- Finalize grades
- Close the course
- Submit grades
- Think about changes for next time
