Although students may see a D2L course set up, they are not be able to access the course until the start date set by the faculty instructor. The course start and end dates are listed next to the course name. Likewise, students will not be able to access a course once the end date has passed. To request special access outside of the course start/end dates, contact the course instructor.
Courses open on the start date set by the faculty instructor. In some cases this may be a week prior to the actual start date of the class, in others it will be on the start date of the class. The date D2L courses open is set at the discretion of the instructor.

If you attempt various functions such as taking a quiz between midnight and 7:00 a.m., there is a chance you will receive an Internal Server (HTML 500) error or experience slowness because various maintenance operations may be in progress during these times:
Every day (Sun-Sat): midnight - 12:30am
Every day (Sun-Sat): 1:45am - 5:00am
Thursday: 5:00am - 7:00am
If you receive an Internal Server (HTML 500) error or experience slowness while maintenance is in progress, try logging in again, attempting your function later after a short delay, or waiting for the end of the maintenance operation period. It is strongly recommended that you do not attempt to use the Quizzes tool during these times. Please plan accordingly.
Other outages occur periodically for upgrades outside of these maintenance windows. Users will be notified on the My Home page in D2L of any upcoming outages.
A wireless connection is okay for general course materials but we recommend that you do not use a wireless connection when working with Quizzes or Grades.
